I drink bucket loads of Milo during the cold winter months and enjoy mine in a mug full of hot milk so it was no surprise while paging through one of my biscuit recipe books in search of some baking inspiration that I had a light bulb moment while sipping on my Milo. A biscuit made with Milo and white chocolate chips. With the idea still fresh in my head, I rummaged through my kitchen cupboards, gathered all the necessary ingredients and got baking.
Milo and White Chocolate Biscuits
I enjoy creating and trying out easy, simple to follow recipes. For the home cook, these recipes are practical, straight forward and encourage the most inhibited cook. This biscuit recipe is precisely that; simple. If you would like to enjoy a delicious Milo biscuit in no time, you will need the following ingredients:
180g butter
1 and a ¼ cups of sugar
80ml Milo powder
1 slab of Lindt white chocolate (chopped)
1 extra large egg and 1 egg yolk
3 cups of flour
Pinch of salt
Cream the butter and sugar, add the Milo powder and stir through the egg. Sift in the flour, salt and add the chopped up chocolate. Mix well and place into a bowl and cover in clingfilm. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Remove from fridge, roll dough out and using a cookie cutter of your choice, cut out biscuit shapes, place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 – 12 minutes per batch.
